Job summary

E2B is hiring a backend engineer to own the services powering the Dashboard and SDK. You will primarily write Go APIs and data models, while occasionally wiring the Next.js frontend to finish end-to-end work.

You will design authentication, billing, and usage metering, and build real-time backends with WebSockets and SSE to stream logs and metrics to the UI. Expect ownership from planning through launch and ongoing iteration.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years shipping production backend services with deep Go expertise.
• Strong API design with REST/RPC, contracts, versioning for frontend needs.
• Solid PostgreSQL skills: schema design, query optimization, migrations.
• Backend fundamentals: authentication/authorization, performance, real-time data flows.
• Working TypeScript competence; Next.js is a plus for frontend wiring.
• Ability to own projects from conception to launch and iterate.

Responsibilities

• Owning the Go services behind the dashboard and SDK: APIs, data models, and contracts the frontend relies on.
• Designing auth/authorization, billing, and usage-metering surfaces.
• Building real-time backends (WebSockets, SSE) that feed sandbox logs and metrics to the dashboard.
• Optimizing data access and server-side performance (queries, caching, response times).
• Partnering with dashboard engineers to ship features end-to-end and with Core/Platform on infra boundaries.
• Making architectural decisions around observability, testing, and security best practices.
