Job summary

Xona Space Systems in Burlingame, CA is seeking a Navigation Algorithms Engineer to join our Ground Software team. This hands-on role focuses on building tools to monitor constellation health and improve centimeter-level navigation accuracy through PPP and related estimation pipelines.

You'll work with the navigation engineering group to prototype and mature estimation components, applying statistics and estimation theory (least squares, Kalman filters) in C++ and Python.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• Solid foundation in statistics and estimation theory (least squares, Kalman filtering).
• Proficiency in C++ and Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Constellation Monitoring: Develop tools to monitor health, availability, and performance of the Pulsar constellation and GNSS signals in real time.
• Estimation Pipelines: Collaborate on and validate PPP algorithms and other estimation pipelines across the navigation stack.
• Collaboration & Growth: Work with the navigation engineering team to ship early-stage prototypes and develop them into core production components.
