Job summary

Xona is seeking a Navigation Algorithms Engineer to join our Ground Software team in Burlingame, CA. This hands-on role focuses on building tools to monitor constellation health and improve core estimation pipelines for centimeter-level navigation accuracy.

You will work with the team to validate PPP algorithms, enhance estimation pipelines, and help transition prototypes into scalable production components. A strong background in statistics and GNSS concepts is required.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• Solid foundation in statistics and estimation theory (e.g., least squares, Kalman filtering).
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Constellation monitoring: develop tools to monitor health, availability, and performance of Pulsar constellation and GNSS signals in real time.
• Estimation pipelines: collaborate on and validate PPP algorithms and other estimation pipelines across the navigation stack.
• Collaboration & growth: work with navigation engineering to ship prototypes and integrate them into production pipelines.
