Job summary

Xona is seeking a Navigation Algorithms Engineer to join the Ground Software team. This hands-on role focuses on building tools for constellation health monitoring and core estimation pipelines to enable centimeter-level navigation precision.

You will work with colleagues to validate PPP algorithms, apply estimation techniques, and contribute to production-ready components of the navigation stack.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• Solid foundation in statistics and estimation theory (e.g., least squares, Kalman filtering).
• Familiarity programming in C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Constellation Monitoring: develop tools to monitor health, availability, and performance of the Pulsar constellation and GNSS signals in real time.
• Estimation Pipelines: collaborate on and validate Precise Point Positioning (PPP) and other estimation pipelines across the navigation stack.
• Collaboration & Growth: work with the navigation engineering team to ship prototypes and integrate them into production pipelines.
