Job summary

Vardaspace is offering a fall internship focused on the Guidance, Navigation & Controls (GNC) team, located in El Segundo, California. The role involves design and analysis for reentry vehicles, aiming to provide valuable experience within a dynamic setup.

Interns will work closely with leading aerospace professionals, contributing to real projects within a startup atmosphere. Candidates should currently be enrolled in a degree program and have some familiarity with GNC concepts.

Qualifications

• Previous GNC internship experience.
• Familiar with flight dynamics and trajectory optimization.
• Capable of handling 6DOF flight simulations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to analysis and simulations for reentry vehicles.
• Integrate and test GNC sensors and software.
• Design and implement autonomous satellite control algorithms.

Skills

Familiarity with orbital mechanics

Experience with C++ or Python

Understanding of feedback controls

Education

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
