SpaceX is seeking a GNC Engineer for the Starshield Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS). The role focuses on spacecraft attitude dynamics, navigation filtering, and software development to enable autonomous, reliable satellite operations across missions.

The team balances payload pointing, thermal, power, and momentum constraints, while collaborating with thermal, power, and comms subsystems to ensure mission success. Strong C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, computer science/software engineering, or an engineering discipline.
• Software development experience in C++, Python, and/or MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsabilités

• Design and implementation of satellite GNC software across all mission phases.
• Design concepts of operations balancing thermal constraints, power budgets, momentum management, and pointing needs.
• Develop, validate, and improve GNC algorithms for autonomy and fault tolerance.
• Maintain GNC software configurations for vehicle revisions and mission sets.
• Create high-fidelity 6DOF simulations of dynamics, sensors, actuators, and interactions.
• Perform Monte Carlo simulations to verify safe flight and performance metrics.
• Lead HITL testing with test case design and data-review improvements.
• Design navigation filtering and control systems; sizing and layout of ADCS hardware.
