Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced GNC Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense organization, developing and fielding advanced space, hypersonic, and autonomous vehicle capabilities for U.S. government programs.

This fully onsite role in Seal Beach, CA requires an active Tier 5 TS/SCI clearance. You will design, develop, simulate, and test GN&C capabilities, collaborating across engineering, software, avionics, and test teams to transition concepts from development

Qualifications

Hands-on GN&C algorithm development for guidance, navigation and control.
MATLAB + Simulink expertise for modeling and testing.
6-DOF high-fidelity dynamics simulations and analysis tools.
Software development in C/C++, Python, or C# for flight software.
Active Tier 5 TS/SCI clearance and onsite work in Seal Beach, CA.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate GN&C algorithms for spacecraft and aerospace vehicles.
Develop and maintain high-fidelity 6-DOF simulations for trajectories and performance.
Develop GN&C flight software using MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.
Apply flight mechanics and control theory to trajectory design and guidance.
Support system integration, verification, and flight testing.
Collaborate with systems, software, avionics, and test teams throughout development.
