Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a GNC Engineer for Attitude Determination and Optical Navigation (Starlink) to maintain and upgrade attitude determination systems on Starlink satellites, improve object tracking, and support sensors for space domain awareness.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on real-world space applications using C++ and Python, and contribute to reliable satellite navigation and on-orbit operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, aerospace, physics or an engineering discipline.
• Software development experience in C++ and Python.
• Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, upgrade, and operate the attitude determination systems onboard Starlink satellites.
• Maintain, upgrade, and operate the object detection pipeline supporting Stargaze space surveillance.
• Analyze sensor performance and support design of future navigation and situational awareness sensors.
