Job summary

Astrion is seeking a GN&C Engineer for NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will develop and evaluate safety‑critical flight software and GN&C algorithms, using MATLAB/Simulink and Python/C++.

Collaboration with NASA civil servants and contractors is essential to deliver robust spaceflight guidance and control solutions. Responsibilities include integrating, testing, and validating GN&C software, applying Kalman filters and AI methods where applicable, and contributing to software

Qualifications

Significant knowledge of GN&C.
Experience with development and analysis of 6 DOF algorithms and simulations.
Proficiency with C/C++ and Python.
Familiarity with validation and verification of GN&C algorithms and requirements.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and evaluate safety-critical flight software.
Develop, integrate, and test GN&C algorithms.
Utilize MATLAB/Simulink/Autocode skills to update GN&C Flight Software.
Utilize Python & C/C++ skills to analyze and test GN&C Flight Software.
Validate and Verify GN&C algorithms and requirements.
Provide recommendations for improvements of flight software, its processes and procedures.
Perform deep-dive analyses of flight and simulation software.
Perform other duties as required #CJ
