Job summary

Cayman Chemical is headquartered in Ann Arbor, MI, and is seeking a GMP QC Chemist I to join the team. You will perform routine GMP analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished APIs, contributing to timely releases with GC/HPLC, Karl Fischer, and FT-IR analyses.

The role requires a Bachelors in Chemistry, 1–3 years of instrument experience, GMP exposure preferred, and on-site work in Ann Arbor. Cayman values integrity, collaboration, learning, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 1–3 years of lab experience with GC, HPLC, Karl Fischer, FT-IR.
• Experience in a GMP-regulated environment preferred.
• Proficiency in HPLC/GC analysis and method development/validation/transfer.
• On-site work in Ann Arbor, MI during normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine GMP analytical testing to support release of materials and APIs.
• Assist with GC and HPLC method development, qualification, and optimization.
• Perform analytical testing to support method validation, transfer, verification, and stability studies.
• Promptly report data aberrations to management and participate in investigations.
• Maintain complete, legible records in notebooks, logbooks and electronic systems.
• Perform secondary review of analytical data and GMP-compliant documentation.
• Communicate work status and progress to the supervisor regularly.
• Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and proper handling of chemicals.
