Job summary

Actalent in Columbus, OH seeks an GMP Operations Scientist II to guide GMP and production in the Clinical Manufacturing Facility. You will provide hands-on leadership for day-to-day GMP production operations, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of products.

Requirements include a Life Science degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with GMP/GLP experience, strong communication, and project management skills. This is a contract-to-hire onsite role with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Relevant four-year Life Science degree or Master’s degree.
• Three years of relevant experience with a four-year degree or one year with a Master’s degree.
• Background in life sciences, biotechnology, or gene therapy industries is ideal.
• Experience in a GMP or GLP setting.
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for data interpretation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Solve, correct, and prevent problems while assigning tasks to junior staff.
• Lead and support a diverse team with clear communication to achieve productivity.
• Provide leadership in daily GMP manufacturing operations of biological products.
• Ensure materials availability and proper GMP documentation.
• Train and supervise junior staff on equipment operation and documentation standards.
• Guide deviations investigations, OOS results, and process troubleshooting.
