Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a microbiology professional to lead environmental monitoring in a GMP setting in Rahway, NJ. You will perform cleanroom monitoring, EM sampling, and microbiology testing of utilities and finished products.

The role requires 2+ years in pharma microbiology (MS) or 3+ years (BS), with strong communication skills and knowledge of GMP guidelines. Monday–Friday schedule; potential weekend support and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience for applicants with an MS degree or 3 years of experiences for BS degree in Microbiology or related Biological Sciences, or equivalent with direct microbiological testing GMP experience.
• A proven record of microbiology laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of microbiology testing in environmental monitoring, aseptic manufacturing, and utilities testing in a GMP environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental monitoring in GMP microbiology lab, including finished products testing, utilities, and environmental monitoring.
• Perform routine viable and non‑viable environmental monitoring in cleanrooms (Grad A-D).
• Operate and maintain EM instruments and execute aseptic sampling techniques.
• Support bioburden, microbial identification, and endotoxin testing.
• Trend and interpret EM data, escalate out-of-trend results and support investigations.
• Assist in deviation investigations, root cause assessment, and CAPA development.
