Job summary

Boston Analytical in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Microbiologist, Environmental Monitoring to support microbiological testing and environmental monitoring programs for pharmaceutical clients. You will perform microbial analyses and off-site sampling as required, following FDA and cGMP guidelines.

Requires a Bachelor’s in microbiology or related field and 0–3 years in a GMP lab, with strong documentation and data integrity. Travel to client sites and adherence to safety rules are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related field.
• 0–3 years in microbiology pharmaceutical lab environment.
• Knowledge of GMP experience and aseptic techniques.
• Experience in environmental monitoring preferred.
• Strong documentation and data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and controlled environments.
• Conduct microbiological analyses such as bioburd en, TOC, and endotoxin.
• Incubate, enumerate, and identify microbial isolates.
• Author and review OOS investigations, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Document data through GDocP and BA internal procedures, within paper records and LIMS system.
• Ensure aseptic practices in the laboratory and client cleanroom environment.
• Handle hazardous materials per OSHA and BA procedures.
• Ensures all work adheres to cGMP, procedures, and methodologies.
• Travel to off-site client locations as needed.
