Job summary

Certified Group’s Burbank Microbiology Laboratory is a GMP-registered facility delivering microbial testing for OTC drugs, cosmetics, antibiotic products, and sterility-related work. The Microbiology Laboratory Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring accuracy and timely results for our national and regional customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or closely related field.
• Minimum five years in a microbiology GMP laboratory.
• Minimum three years of direct people-leadership experience.
• Experience with LIMS/LabWare.
• Strong communication and data integrity skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a GMP-compliant microbiology laboratory environment.
• Lead daily operations with OTD, backlog, test starts, and scheduling metrics.
• Oversee PET/AET, stability, sterility workflows and client deliverables.
• Maintain LabWare microbiology status, holds, and test initiation workflows.
• Coach supervisors and analysts; ensure training, qualification, and cross-training.
