Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Chesterfield, MO seeks a manufacturing technician to support scale-up and fermentation/purification processes for clinical and toxicology supplies.

You will set up and run GMP unit operations, perform CIP/SIP, conduct analytical testing, and ensure documentation and data integrity in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, with a 3:30 PM–12:00 AM shift and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BS/BA in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or equivalent.
• 0–2+ years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (bioprocess or chemical process).
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a matrix development team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, execution and evaluation of GMP manufacturing unit operations (seed train, bioreactors/fermenters, centrifugation, filtration, chromatography, UF/DF, conjugation and lyophilization).
• CIP, SIP, aseptic sampling, parts washing, documentation, work order generation, and data entry/evaluation.
• Collaborate with laboratory and cross-functional teams to support testing timelines and operations.
• Accurately document testing activities and results in accordance with GMP and data integrity requirements.

Job Description

Eurofins PSS is looking for new team members for our team to help support and join our diverse team to help assist on scale up and manufacturing of mammalian and microbial fermentation/purification processes for clinical and toxicology supplies.

• Duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Set up, execution and evaluation of GMP manufacturing unit operations such as seed train, bioreactors/fermenters, centrifugation, filtration, chromatography, UF/DF, conjugation and lyophilization.
  • CIP, SIP, aseptic sampling, parts washing, documentation, work order generation, and data entry/evaluation.
  • Will require communication and interaction with various groups and leaders in collaboration!
  • Perform routine analytical, compendial, and general laboratory testing in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Conduct testing using techniques such as pH, appearance, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and other applicable analytical methods.
  • Follow approved SOPs, test methods, specifications, and laboratory procedures.
  • Operate, maintain, and perform routine checks of laboratory instruments and equipment as required.
  • Accurately document testing activities and results in accordance with GMP and data integrity requirements.
  • Review and evaluate analytical data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements.
  • Support sample preparation, testing, documentation, and laboratory investigations, as applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, safety, quality, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory and cross-functional teams to support testing timelines and laboratory operations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

• Associate's degree or BS/BA in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or equivalent.
• Requires a minimum 0 to 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (bioprocess or chemical process industry).
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Maintains a safe work environment
• Demonstrated capability to work as a team member in a matrix development team
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office required, especially MS Word, MS Excel.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in a Biological Pilot Plant or Commercial Manufacturing setting is desired.
• Knowledge of fermentation and or downstream processing techniques.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for 8-hour shift.
