Job summary

Piper Companies in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking an energetic Laboratory Technician to support GMP manufacturing operations. You will perform routine experiments, prepare reagents, maintain equipment, and uphold a safe, compliant laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include sample preparation, pipetting, basic analytical techniques, following SOPs, documenting results, and assisting with calibration and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience in a regulated laboratory environment (GMP, GLP).
• Familiarity with wet-lab techniques and basic analytical methods.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory procedures such as sample preparation, pipetting, solution/reagent preparation, and basic analytical techniques.
• Conduct experiments following SOPs, protocols, and quality standards.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pH meters, centrifuges, incubators).
• Support equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in general lab upkeep, organization, and documentation of results.
