Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Lab Technician in Belvidere, NJ. The role focuses on testing and analyzing raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using validated methods while following cGMP guidelines.

Responsibilities include calibrating equipment (HPLC, GC, ICP), performing analyses with various methods, and maintaining thorough documentation. A degree in a relevant science is required or preferred, with 0–3 years of lab experience and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in a relevant scientific field; formal education requirements as stated.
• 0–3 years of laboratory experience in a regulated environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Broad understanding of safety, laboratory hygiene and GMP rules.

Responsibilities

• Carries out routine tasks with some autonomy and executes more process steps as needed.
• Calibrates and monitors laboratory equipment (HPLC, GC, ICP, etc.).
• Analyzes raw materials, intermediates, stability samples and finished products for required tests by various methods.
• Organizes work efficiently and collaborates with the team; informs supervisor of progress.
• Investigates OOS results under guidance of senior staff and maintains good documentation practices.
• Ensures incidents are investigated, reported, and risks assessed promptly; emphasizes safety and proper procedures.
