Job summary

Beam Therapeutics Inc. is seeking an Associate-level operations professional to join the Laboratory Operations team in Cambridge, MA.

The role covers R&D and GMP environments, emphasizing CMMS use, asset management, calibration, and cGMP-compliant documentation to support inspections and ongoing operations. You will collaborate with Quality Assurance, Validation, and Maintenance to ensure data integrity, proper work order lifecycle management, and timely escalation of discrepancies.

Qualifications

• AS or BS in a life science or other relevant discipline preferred.
• Working knowledge of cGMP regulatory requirements in equipment and lab operations (21 CFR Parts 210/211, Part 11; EU GMP Annex 1 & 11).
• Experience with CMMS (Blue Mountain RAM) and EDMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations and Facility management for both R&D and GMP environments.
• Provide on-the-floor support to GMP lab users.
• Execute all assigned activities in a cGMP-compliant manner per SOPs, GDP, and ALCOA+ data integrity expectations.
• Manage CMMS functions: asset records, inventory, calibration, PM and work orders.
• Review calibration/repair documentation and CMMS data for accuracy and audit readiness.
• Coordinate and support external services for repair, calibration, PM and qualification.
• Assist with commissioning/qualification activities and lifecycle decisions for lab equipment.
• Partner with Lab Operations, Validation, QA, and Engineering & Facilities on equipment selection and startup.
