Job summary

Actalent in South San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Lab Analyst to perform laboratory testing, analyze results, and support GMP/compliance activities. You will document findings, assist root cause investigations, and collaborate with teams to ensure high quality results.

The role requires 5+ years in a lab or analytical setting, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication. This is a fully onsite contract position with standard hours and a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in a laboratory or analytical environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to convey test results and findings clearly.
• Knowledge of industry best practices related to laboratory testing and quality standards.
• Understanding of GMP principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to perform analytical work with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing on products and materials using established methods and procedures.
• Analyze test results, identify deviations or anomalies, and communicate findings clearly and promptly.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with GMP guidelines and relevant regulatory standards.
• Document test procedures, observations, and results in a clear, accurate, and organized manner.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues related to test methods, equipment, or product quality.
• Support root cause analysis activities when deviations or nonconformances are identified.
• Follow industry best practices to maintain high standards of quality and reliability in laboratory work.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to share test results and support decision-making.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized laboratory work area in accordance with internal procedures.
