Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions seeks a Lead IT Engineer to provide strategic IT leadership, architecture, and governance for our validated and non-validated systems. You will shepherd ITIL processes, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with OT and lab systems to align with manufacturing needs.

The role is onsite in Bloomington, IN, with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability, including ServiceNow, incident management, and vendor collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with leadership exposure.
• Extensive experience in GMP/21 CFR Part 11 regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as final escalation point for infrastructure issues and complex incidents.
• Lead Major Incident Management and coordinate resolutions.
• Collaborate on long-term architecture roadmaps for on-prem and cloud (Azure, AWS).
• Conduct capacity planning and performance analyses to inform budgeting.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for manufacturing and OT contexts.
• Own ITIL processes (incident, request, change, CMDB) and ensure GMP compliance.
• Lead patching strategies for validated/non-validated systems with QA/Compliance.
• Mentor Senior IT Engineers and collaborate with offshore teams.
• Develop advanced dashboards and reports for senior management.
