Job summary

CSI International Inc. is seeking a GMP General Cleaner to support a manufacturing facility in Summit, NJ. This full-time role requires prior cleaning experience in manufacturing and capable, high-energy individuals who can operate independently or with a team.

The ideal candidate will follow SOPs, maintain clean work areas, manage supplies, and wear PPE. Training will be provided; safety and security are emphasized, including ad hoc tasks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of previous manufacturing cleaning experience.
• 6 months to 1 year of advanced cleaning skills, such as hard floor and carpet maintenance.
• Ability to speak, write and read English is preferred and may be required by some customers.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to manage your time efficiently.
• Work well when supervisors are not present.
• Able to work independently or with a team.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. – We Use E-Verify

Responsibilities

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Performs daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas as directed
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area, including janitorial closets and storage areas
• Maintains cleaning equipment in good working condition, and notifies the Manager or Supervisor if repair or replacement is necessary
• Maintains appropriate supply levels in assigned janitorial closets and storage areas
• Works safely at all times and promptly informs management about unsafe conditions existing in the work area
• Wears personal protective equipment appropriate for the task being performed
• Assists in orientation and training for new employees as directed
• Adheres to proper security procedures
• Notifies management about problems or opportunities that affect service to the customer
• Performs other cleaning-related duties as required
• General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Cleaning and stock restrooms.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Ensure doors are locked after hours.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

We are looking for a responsible and quality-driven GMP Cleaner to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting a manufacturing facility; specialized training will be required. To work well in this role, you should already have previous manufacturing cleaning experience and some advanced cleaning skills as well. The successful candidate will possess high levels of energy, strong organizational skills, and pride in delivering excellent service.
