Job summary

SBM is seeking a GMP Floor Technician to safely perform floor care, including waxing, stripping, buffing, and routine cleaning in a GMP environment. You will operate motorized cleaning equipment, follow SBM SOPs, and maintain daily logs.

No formal education required; 6 months to 1 year experience preferred. Must lift up to 35 pounds, wear PPE, and may require forklift certification. Shift: Mon-Fri 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM; hourly rate $16.00-$17.00.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret instructions and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care including waxing, stripping, buffing, and cleaning of tile, carpet, and brick floors.
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment safely.
• Follow SBM SOPs and safety regulations; report hazards.
• Complete daily logs and shift duties; respond to supervision.
• Support shift lead in punch-list items.

# **Title:**GMP Floor Tech# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The GMP Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.**Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.* Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self* Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments* Perform repetitive tasks* Maintain clean work area* Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules* Take direction and respond to supervision* Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner* Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance* Support shift lead in completing punch-list items* Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks* Present a professional appearance and conduct* Understand customer service and satisfaction.* Understand reporting systems, and of the environment* Operate motorized cleaning equipment* Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area* Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring* Complete work assignments in a timely manner* Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure* Use and maintain equipment properly* Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely* Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs “wet floor”* Ability to work without normal supervision* Report safety hazards as appropriate* Understand reporting systems and the environment* Perform repetitive tasks in a GMP environment* Perform sanitization duties to maintain a GMP controlled environment* Consistently follow all customer and SBM SOP’s and procedures* Respond to customer requests in a professional manner* Fully train in area job functions for specific shift assignment and area classification including walls, floors, windows, wipe-downs, maintenance issue reporting, and shut-down cleaning* Complete daily FN logs accurately and completely* Must be trained and be certified in correct gowning procedures for assigned area* Complete all basic training modules and annual qualification trainings per customer Standard Operating Procedures* Complete all safety certifications including chemical safety**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
