SBM is seeking a Floor Technician in Minneapolis to perform floor care tasks, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain a safe, clean environment. The role requires following procedures, communicating effectively with the team, and supporting shift duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks including waxing, stripping, and buffing.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and maintain our floor areas.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Assist team and supervisors; handle punch-list items as needed.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper PPE usage.
• Report hazards and communicate professionally with staff and customers.

# **Title:**Floor Technician# **Job Description:**Compensation: $20.45 per hourShift: Saturday-Wednesday 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM**Job Overview**The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.**Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned* Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self* Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments* Perform repetitive tasks* Maintain clean work area* Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules* Take direction and respond to supervision* Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner* Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance* Support shift lead in completing punch-list items* Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks* Present a professional appearance and conduct* Understand customer service and satisfaction.* Understand reporting systems, and of the environment* Operate motorized cleaning equipment* Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area* Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring* Complete work assignments in a timely manner* Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure* Use and maintain equipment properly* Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely* Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs “wet floor”* Ability to work without normal supervision* Report safety hazards as appropriate**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
