Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Research Operations Manager to support the Advanced Cellular Therapeutics Facility, ensuring GMP-compliant manufacturing of human cellular therapy products and managing environment controls across ISO7 spaces.

You will oversee equipment lifecycle, calibration programs, and vendor coordination, while mentoring a four-person team and collaborating with facilities and quality teams to maintain uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMP practices and their use in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of metrology, calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems for GMP cleanrooms.
• Understanding Installation, Operation and Process Qualification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee qualification activities and equipment management.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to maintain facility operations.
• Lead a team of four staff and develop their skills.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and environmental controls.
