Job summary

Civica Rx in Virginia's Petersburg area seeks a Facilities Supervisor to lead the safe, reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of site facilities and building infrastructure. The role coordinates with Maintenance, QA, Engineering, and EHS to support compliant, uninterrupted manufacturing.

You will oversee contractor relations, manage CMMS work orders, ensure GMP alignment, and drive safety culture while prioritizing risk-based maintenance and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related technical field with 4+ years of facilities/maintenance experience in biotech/pharma/military environment.
• Alternative: associate degree with 6+ years of facilities/maintenance experience.
• 10+ years facilities maintenance experience may substitute for a technical degree.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and maintenance practices in regulated manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance supervision.
• Experience coordinating contractors and facility improvement activities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and operation of site buildings, infrastructure, and facility equipment.
• Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Ensure facility conditions meet GMP requirements and product quality.
• Monitor safety and GMP compliance; address issues affecting operations.
• Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and non-GMP systems.
• Manage contracts for landscaping, janitorial, security, pest control, and fire systems.
• Ensure CMMS work orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Coordinate with QA, Validation, Production, and EHS on maintenance activities.
• Ensure spare parts, tools, and materials are available; support shutdowns.
• Enforce safety standards and permit-to-work requirements; lead safety culture.
