Job summary

Penumbra, Inc. in Alameda, CA is seeking an Equipment Technician II to set up and maintain manufacturing and test equipment in support of GMP-compliant production.

You will perform preventative and on-demand maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, install and validate equipment (IQ/OQ), and help improve equipment documentation and throughput. On-site role requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasional weekends, and close collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience building, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment per GMP guidelines.
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical device, biotech, or pharma is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain manufacturing and test equipment in compliance with Penumbra's Quality System.
• Perform preventative, on-demand and non-standard maintenance and document activities.
• Assist with on-demand maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Install equipment and complete IQ/OQ validation to ensure proper functionality.
• Manage spare parts inventory and assist with equipment relocation and line moves.
• Train junior technicians on equipment repairs and departmental practices.
