Job summary

Samsung BioLogics is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Rockville, MD site to support GMP-compliant electrical systems across utilities and process equipment. The role emphasizes project execution, data-driven problem solving, and collaboration with validation and maintenance teams.

You will lead electrical investigations, develop and manage budgets, supervise contractors, and train staff to ensure safe, reliable operation in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in regulated manufacturing (pharma/biotech).
• Working knowledge of NEC codes, electrical standards, and GMP requirements.
• Experience with electrical systems supporting utilities and process equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience managing or supporting capital projects.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and basic project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical projects to meet technical, budget, and schedule goals.
• Evaluate and implement new equipment or modifications with consideration of processing technologies.
• Use OE Tools to collect data and identify root causes for equipment issues with measurable improvements.
• Lead investigations and propose solutions with key customer groups.
• Develop project plans and budgets; implement approved modifications and verify results.
• Provide staff training on electrical equipment operation and maintenance.
• Prepare or review operation, safety, and maintenance procedures.
• Support validation staff in strategy and testing plans; address protocol deviations.
• Delegate project duties within department and supervise contractors.
