Job summary

Lilly Medicines Foundry is seeking an experienced analytical chemist in Indiana to rapidly develop, validate, and run HPLC/UPLC methods across small molecules, biomolecules, peptides, oligonucleotides, and high potency compounds in a GMP environment.

You will lead method development, qualification/validation, and capability-building while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Development to support Phase 1–3 supply.

Qualifications

• MS or BS with 5+ or 8+ years in pharma.
• Hands-on HPLC/UPLC with UV and detectors (CAD/ELSD).
• LC-MS for method development or sample analysis.
• GMP laboratory experience and data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement analytical methods for cleaning validation.
• Develop HPLC/UPLC methods with UV, CAD, ELSD detectors.
• Apply LC-MS for trace residues, degradants, and non-UV compounds.
• Perform routine GMP swab and rinse testing for timely release.
• Lead technology transfer to Foundry QC lab and external partners.
• Mentor junior analysts and manage priorities and capacity.
• Plan instrument needs and contribute to lab readiness.
• Support during shutdowns, weekends, and overnight operations.
