Job Summary

The MGB Radiology GME Program Specialist is a newly created role on the MGB Radiology Education Team. Working alongside the Director of Education and the Fellowship Programs Manager, the Specialist supports the oversight of all radiology fellowship programs at Mass General Brigham — currently 14 programs serving more than 200 trainees across three campuses: Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Mass Eye and Ear (MEEI). The position focuses primarily on providing support and training to division administrators in their education-related duties. It also contributes to strategic education initiatives aimed at streamlining and centralizing fellowship program processes and workflows across the MGB system. In addition, the Specialist will play a foundational role in helping the team develop, launch, and maintain an MGB Radiology Alumni Society. This is a primarily on-site position, with time split between Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Following a 90‑day orientation period, the role is eligible for one remote day per week. The Specialist reports to the Fellowship Programs Manager, with additional oversight from the Director of Education, and joins a robust team of eight dedicated administrators supporting all education activities for MGB Radiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinator Training & Development – Deliver structured onboarding and ongoing training for fellowship coordinators across both campuses. Provide “at‑the‑elbow,” hands‑on, real‑time support as coordinators perform their work. Help create and maintain how‑to documentation, standard operating procedures, and job aids, keeping them current as systems and requirements change. Serve as a consistent point of expertise and escalation for coordinator questions.
  • Program Administration – Coordinate the American Board of Radiology (ABR) 4‑Year International Medical Graduate (IMG) Pathway, including application tracking, correspondence, and compliance monitoring. Manage training verification requests for former radiology trainees, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Assist with managing MGB Radiology New Trainee Orientation across both campuses, including logistics (room reservations, catering, audio/visual), communications, agenda coordination, presenter liaising, Zoom setup, and recording management. Provide broad administrative support to Radiology Fellowship and Residency programs at both campuses serving as a reliable resource for Program Directors and Coordinators. Support recruitment and interview cycles, onboarding and orientation processes, and off‑boarding procedures for radiology trainees. Help with New Innovations platform management and other program administration tasks as needed. Contribute to other radiology education initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • MGB Alumni Society Project – Build and maintain the alumni database and communications. Plan and execute alumni events and engagement activities MGB‑wide. Coordinate engagement and donation workflows in partnership with department leadership. Establish repeatable processes and infrastructure to scale alumni activities over time.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three+ years in graduate medical education.
  • Working knowledge of ACGME accreditation and GME processes, including ACGME reporting (ADS) and familiarity with Non‑Standard Training requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency with New Innovations, including personnel data, checklists, evaluations, and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and campuses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience training or onboarding coordinators or administrative staff.
  • Experience with ACGME NST reporting or non‑accredited fellowship administration.
  • TAGME certification, or eligibility and willingness to obtain it.
  • Event‑planning, alumni‑relations, or development experience.
