Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an analyst to support the financial, reimbursement, budgeting, accounting, and reporting activities for Graduate Medical Education programs and affiliated partners.

Corporate Finance
This analyst supports the financial, reimbursement, budgeting, accounting, and reporting activities associated with Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System and affiliated academic partners. Responsibilities include support for Medicare and Medicaid GME reimbursement processes, budget preparation and monitoring, invoice and payment processing, month-end close activities, financial reporting, audit support, and coordination with GME leadership, Reimbursement, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and academic affiliates. The analyst serves as a key financial resource to promote accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, timely processing, and effective stewardship of GME funding resources.
- Require bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or other relevant field of study. Master's degree preferred.
- Require a minimum of three (3) years of financial, accounting, reimbursement, budgeting, or analytical responsibilities experience, preferably within a healthcare organization.
- Prefer Graduate Medical Education (GME) finance experience, as well as healthcare finance, reimbursement, or hospital accounting experience supporting annual budgets, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and internal or external audits.
- Prefer experience utilizing financial reporting systems such as PeopleSoft, Epic, Strata, or similar financial applications.
- Prefer demonstrated computer skills including spreadsheet programs, word processing, database programs, reporting systems, and various Microsoft applications.
- Prefer having knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methodologies.
- Prefer Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or progress toward a relevant professional certification.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision‑making, and problem‑solving expertise.
- Prefer effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
