Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a Medical Education Program Specialist to direct the administrative operations of accredited GME training programs in partnership with the Program Directors. The role ensures compliance with ACGME and institutional requirements while supporting residents and fellows.

You will liaise with faculty, leadership, and regulatory bodies to ensure accreditation, recruitment, financial management, and learner support, while maintaining trainee records and coordinating

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and/or 3+ years of related experience. Medical Education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual program goals, work plans, and accreditation cycle strategies with the Program Director.
• Coordinate residency/fellowship activities, including rotations, conferences, didactics, orientations, and evaluations.
• Establish policies, procedures, priorities, and timelines for the program.
• Compile, analyze, and present program data to support decision making.
• Provide administrative support to program committees and educational leadership.
• Coordinate accreditation activities, including APE, CLER, site visits, and internal reviews.
• Monitor duty hours, evaluation completion, and trainee documentation.
• Prepare reports to ACGME, GMEC, DNV, and other regulatory bodies.
