Lum's GMC in McMinnville, Oregon is seeking a Master-Level Service Technician capable of diagnosing and repairing all vehicle systems. The role emphasizes accurate diagnostics, efficient repairs, and exceptional customer communication within a fast-paced dealership environment.

The ideal candidate brings ASE or GM Master certification, broad knowledge of modern vehicle tech, and a minimum of several years in the field.

Qualifications

• ASE or GM Master Technician certification and broad diagnostic skills required.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive repair preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engine, electrical, and transmission systems.
• Excellent communication with customers and service staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and diagnostics per repair orders per dealership policies.
• Test-drive vehicles and verify component function with diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, electrical, steering, transmission, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about needed services and time estimates.
• Complete repairs to manufacturer specifications, including warranty work.

Lum's GMC is seeking a highly skilled Master-Level Service Technician in McMinnville, Oregon with the ability to diagnose and repair all areas of vehicles.

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Schedule: Day shift, includes Saturdays.

Pay: $35-$50 flat rate, depending on experience. Lum's will consider paying relocation and initial travel expenses (during relocation period) for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• ASE or GM Certified Service Technician
• Master-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
• Basic computer skills

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen (we do not test for THC)
• Must provide your own tools

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Technician
• Experience: 5years (Preferred)
