Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking a General Manager in Training to partner with the club leadership to drive overall direction, operation and success of the club.

You will enroll in the GM Certification and receive on-the-job coaching from the club's GM and Area Director, supporting a large team daily and upholding Life Time’s standards. You will lead teams of 150-300 members and drive customer service, sales, and in-center performance while adapting to a fast-paced wellness environment.

Qualifications

• HS Graduate or Equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in fitness, hospitality or retail.
• 2 years of management experience.
• Understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent interviewing techniques.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach and lift up to 50 pounds.
• CPR and AED Certified.

Responsibilities

• Attends required General Manager Certification trainings and presents on the business plan.
• Performs daily walk-through inspections for cleanliness and organization.
• Studies Net Satisfaction Scores to ensure member experience.
• Monitors budgets and forecasts revenue and expenses for each department.
• Monitors supplies, payroll, cost of goods, and expenses monthly/quarterly/annually.
• Mentors Department Managers to drive growth and performance feedback.
• Co-facilitates Weekly Department Manager Meetings.
• Participates in quarterly club assessment with GM and Area Director.
• Authorizes new hires, promotions, status changes, and terminations.
• Guides and executes monthly Manager on Duty program.
