The Role:

You will lead business development with utilities and energy market aggregators to develop new programs and facilitate participation in existing programs, focusing on GM electric vehicles, GM Energy V2X products, and stationary storage. You will collaborate with internal teams (Product, Sales, Delivery, PMO, Marketing, Legal, Policy) and external stakeholders (utilities, energy policymakers, industry partners) to promote energy market initiatives and reduce vehicle ownership costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development, scoping, and contracting with utility and energy market partners for managed charging, V2X, and storage programs.
  • Build strategic relationships with utilities in the Midwest and West, facilitating meetings with GM leadership and utility executives.
  • Work with utilities to develop seamless V2X and distributed energy resource programs for GM customers.
  • Test and develop new business models to enable broader adoption of V2X and energy resources.
  • Manage partnerships with energy market aggregators to enhance market access for GM customers.
  • Collaborate with vehicle engineering teams on GM’s vehicle-to-grid strategy and deployment.
  • Participate in policy forums (e.g., NARUC, VGIC) to promote vehicle-grid integration initiatives.
  • Research energy market trends and develop strategies to expand customer access to GM Energy products.
  • Recommend initiatives to improve GM Energy’s offerings based on market analysis.
