Job summary

Modern Auto Company in Washington, MO is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose and repair GM vehicles, perform maintenance, and work with GM factory diagnostics in a busy dealership setting.

The ideal candidate has journeyman experience, ASE certifications or GM training preferred, strong diagnostics, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with advisors.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level technician experience required.
• ASE certifications and/or GM training preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workflow.
• Experience in a dealership environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical and electrical issues on GM vehicles.
• Perform maintenance, brake work, suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and drivability repairs.
• Use GM factory diagnostic equipment and service information.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Perform multi-point inspections and recommend needed services.
• Accurately document work performed and communicate with service advisors.
• Follow GM procedures and safety standards.
