Due to our business growth, we are seeking an experienced GM Certified Mechanic/Technician (Flat Rate) with PA State Emissions and Inspection License in our Service Department in Monroeville, PA. Customer service is our primary focus, and the ideal candidate will deliver excellent service daily.

All applicants must complete pre-employment screenings. Valid driver’s license required. ASE Certification preferred.

DUTIES
Position Overview

The Service Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned, adhering to dealer and factory standards.

Job Functions
  • Receive repair orders and perform work efficiently and accurately.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
  • Coordinate with parts department to obtain needed parts, and save/tag parts under warranty or at customer request.
  • Assess vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
  • Communicate with service advisors about additional work or issues.
  • Document all work performed.
  • Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Attend factory training and stay updated on technical bulletins.
  • Keep customer vehicles and shop area clean.
  • Maintain dealership tools and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repairs.
  • Follow safety procedures endorsed by Bowser Automotive Inc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • ASE Certification preferred.
  • PA Emissions and Inspection License.
  • General mechanical skills and good driving record.
  • Manual dexterity and good judgment.
  • Ability to read instructions and maintain professional behavior.
  • Dress appropriately and interact positively with colleagues.
