Job summary

Five Bays Insurance Agency, an AACI Group venture, is seeking a General Manager to own P&L, drive growth, and run day-to-day operations with a hands-on, product-and-data mindset. You'll lead sales and ops staff, define growth plans across states and carriers, and build the KPI and analytics infrastructure to run the business like a tech company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in business operations, sales operations, or general management with direct P&L ownership.
• Proven ability to manage a sales/operations team against revenue and margin targets.
• Demonstrated track record diagnosing broken processes and shipping fixes.
• Strong bias to action in an early-stage environment with ambiguous scope.
• Experience with CRM, quoting/automation tools, or insurance agency management systems.
• Experience building KPI reporting and financial reconciliation from multiple source systems.
• Track record implementing process automation to eliminate manual work.
• Excellent written communication for executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the Five Bays P&L and lead revenue, margin, budget, and headcount.
• Lead the agency's sales and operations staff, setting targets and coaching performance.
• Set growth plan across new states, carriers, and product lines and the operating plan to execute it.
• Drive sales performance: quote volume, bind rate, convert, to meet revenue targets.
• Build KPI dashboards and report them to the CEO on a cadence.
• Reconcile agency financials and production metrics across source systems.
• Audit and fix data quality issues across quoting automations and CRM workflows.
• Own carrier onboarding and streamline the intake process.
• Identify and automate manual processes across renewals, endorsements, document handling, and referrals.
• Partner with Engineering/Product to prioritize fixes based on pain points.
• Improve customer service quality and turnaround by addressing root causes.
• Ensure operations stay compliant with insurance regulations across states.
