Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. in Novato, CA is seeking a Scientist 2 to lead analytical method development and transfer, with emphasis on glycan characterization and product quality attributes across DS/DP for clinical and commercial programs.

Hands-on work with LC-MS, HILIC, CE/icIEF, SEC, IEX, RP chromatography and other orthogonal techniques will underpin product characterization and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master with required post-graduate experience as per EDUCATION.
• Deep knowledge of glycan characterization and various chromatography platforms.
• Experience supporting regulatory submissions and compliance with USP/ICH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical method development and transfer in support of clinical and commercial portfolios.
• Support regulatory submissions by authoring analytical sections and responding to inquiries.
• Develop methods based on LC‑MS, glycan analysis and other orthogonal techniques.
• Mentor junior scientists and research associates as needed.
• Document experiments and results for inspections and regulatory records.
