Job summary

Southern Champion Tray (SCT) in Mansfield, TX is seeking an apprentice to set up and operate the folder/gluer machine. You will train with an assigned trainer to become proficient in all objectives, ensuring high-quality packaging and products are produced on schedule.

The role involves learning to start/stop the machine, make adjustments, maintain safety, and perform routine maintenance while contributing to production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent, some related training/experience acceptable.
• Basic computer skills and mechanical ability.
• Able to read/write English and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the folder/gluer machine as per apprentice plan.
• Work with trainer to achieve objective proficiency and production targets.
• Operate safely and report any unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Record production data and log reports with accuracy.
• Perform quality checks on folded, glued, packaged, labeled products.
• Support other duties within the plant as needed.
