Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a part-time role at the Health and Human Services Building in Shelbyville, MI. You will dispense medications and counsel patients, ensuring accuracy and safety in every prescription.

  • Current Michigan Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in retail or clinic pharmacy operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of 340B pharmacy requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications to patients after review and verification.
  • Counsel patients on prescribed medications, including dosage, side effects, and storage.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions.
  • Maintain pharmacy records, including patient profiles, charge files, inventories, and controlled substances registries.
  • Follow procedures for compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals in compliance with legal and policy requirements.
  • Assess medication identity, strength, and purity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to monitor and evaluate drug therapies.
  • Order, purchase, and maintain pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring proper storage.
  • Process and bill patient insurance claims, troubleshooting issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and HIPAA/policy rules.
