Job summary

Security Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Wire Transfers & Payments Specialist to ensure accurate, timely processing of domestic and international transfers, ACH, and other payment services. You will serve customers and colleagues across branches while maintaining strict compliance with bank policies and regulatory rules.

The ideal candidate is early in their finance career or transitioning into operations, with attention to detail, strong communication, and a commitment to risk controls.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of domestic/international wire transfers, ACH, and electronic payments.
• High school diploma required; associate/bachelor degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of banking or payments experience preferred.
• Integrity, confidentiality and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers accurately within deadlines.
• Review wire requests for completeness, authorization, and account information.
• Verify customer and transaction information and perform required callbacks.
• Monitor wire queues, exceptions, rejects, returns, and corrections.
• Research and resolve wire discrepancies and payment-related inquiries.
• Coordinate with banks, centers, vendors, and customers to resolve issues.
• Maintain documentation, reports, and transaction records.
• Process and monitor ACH, internal transfers, official checks, and other payments.
• Ensure transactions comply with controls and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential fraud or unusual activity and escalate.
