Job summary

FedEx Corporation in Gardena, CA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support floor loading, unloading, palletizing, and inventory control within a fast-paced logistics environment. You will operate forklifts and RF handheld devices, process shipments in WMS, and ensure safety and accuracy across receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping activities.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and adherence to DOT and DG guidelines.

Qualifications

HS Diploma/GED required.
One year or more of relevant warehouse experience.
Experience in international freight forwarding warehouse ops preferred.
Knowledge of distribution activities.
Ability to operate MHEs safely and in compliance.
Good math and safety judgment.

Responsibilities

Load/unload floor loads or palletized freight on/off trucks.
Operate forklift, pallet jacks, pickers, and reach-trucks (propane and electric).
Receive and sort inventories by SKU/PO; process damage exceptions.
Use RF/Bluetooth handheld devices; log in WMS.
Handle returns, inbound freight, and cargo for customs exams.
Process Small Parcel/Ship Manager; train others.
Pick/pack units; repack to prevent damage.
Maintain clean, safe work area; report safety issues.
Lead cycle counting and inventory integrity; supervise temporary labor.
Set up accounts in WMS; coordinate shipping activities with customer service.
Ensure correct paperwork and cargo reconciliation on shipping/receiving.
Understand SOPs across multiple accounts; handle CCSF screening.
Work various accounts and follow site-specific SOPs.
