Job summary

Vontier seeks a visionary Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the global retail technology engineering organization, spanning cloud IoT, POS, telemetry and analytics. This role shapes strategy, architecture, and delivery across on-premise and cloud-native systems.

The successful candidate will manage 100-250+ engineers, partner with the CTO and executives, travel up to 15%, and drive security and PCI-compliant solutions for a multi-region retail portfolio.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a leadership role within retail solutions or a tech company.
• Deep knowledge of leading technology providers and modern cloud systems.
• Executive presence with proven experience engaging with large customers.
• Experience managing large engineering teams (100-250+).
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, scalable POS, IoT and cloud-based solutions; knowledge of security standards and PCI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a diverse global engineering team across locations (US, Argentina, Europe, India).
• Oversee a significant portfolio and global operation with substantial revenue.
• Craft and execute an architecture roadmap covering engineering, DevOps, ProdOps, QA and maintenance.
• Collaborate with CTO and executives to deliver next-generation retail solutions.
• Travel up to 15%.
