Job summary

Vontier is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the global Retail Solutions engineering organization, spanning cloud IoT, on‑premises devices, POS, and analytics. The role drives technology strategy, architecture, and cross‑functional collaboration with the CTO and business leaders to deliver scalable, secure retail software.

Travel up to 15% and a base salary range of $235k–$300k with annual incentives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a leadership role within retail solutions or tech.
• Experience leading large teams (100-250+).
• Deep knowledge of cloud providers and modern cloud systems.
• Understanding of PCI security standards.
• Excellent executive communication and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse global engineering team across multiple locations.
• Develop technology vision and architectural roadmap for core product lines.
• Collaborate with CTO and executives to deliver next‑gen retail solutions.
• Oversee DevOps, ProdOps, QA automation and secure software delivery.
