Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE seeks a senior leader to drive operational excellence across its global manufacturing and aftermarket operations.

The VP, Global Operating System will collaborate with site operations, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to implement standardized processes, performance management, and continuous improvement strategies that boost safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience implementing Lean and Six Sigma in global aerospace manufacturing or MRO environments.
• Proven ability to standardize processes, drive performance metrics, and implement scalable operating systems.
• Strong change management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities across regions.

Responsibilities

• Develop global operational excellence reporting cadence with KPIs across OEM and MRO.
• Lead deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement across sites in NA, Europe, and Asia.
• Standardize SIOP and operational planning to improve service levels and throughput.
• Establish global SOPs, manufacturing disciplines, and best practices for consistency and regulatory compliance.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions leveraging network capacity.
• Foster cross-site collaboration and best practice sharing to accelerate improvements.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and root causes for continuous improvement.
• Understand site capabilities and capacity for network optimization and investment planning.
• Drive global quality standards and alignment with aerospace OEM and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with executives to develop long-range manufacturing and supply chain strategies.
