Job summary

EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions, seeks a Senior Vice President of Global Engineering to align engineering resources and standards across NIS and IMS. You will drive system-level solutions, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure on‑time, on‑budget product launches with quality and manufacturability in mind.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including global or multi-site teams.
• Experience leading operations/product/systems engineering in a complex technical environment.
• Proven track record delivering new product introductions from concept through commercialization.
• Strong understanding of integrated mechanical, electrical, software and controls.
• Ability to translate market needs into engineering roadmaps and budgets.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and engineering/project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead global specialty engineering to deliver system solutions and product platforms.
• Establish a global engineering strategy aligning with growth and quality goals.
• Own the engineering execution model for NPI with stage-gate governance and launch readiness.
• Partner with product management, operations, manufacturing, and sales to translate needs into roadmaps.
• Drive system-level engineering integrating hardware, software, controls, and connectivity.
• Develop budgets, resource plans, and performance metrics for predictable execution.
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving on critical issues and share lessons learned.
• Support strategic customer engagements and executive reviews.
• Establish engineering KPIs for project delivery, cost reduction, and design reuse.
