The Athletic is seeking a Senior Manager, Video Production Operations to lead ideation, creation, and execution of premium video series and specials. You will oversee a scaled, global operation producing 40+ weekly episodes and 60+ social-first clips across North America and Europe, coordinating talent, teams, and external partners.

• 8+ years of experience in video or social content creation.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Experienced with social platforms, formats, and algorithmic trends.
• Strong editorial judgment and journalistic standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a global production team delivering 40+ weekly episodes and 60+ social-first clips across North America and Europe.
• Oversee full lifecycle production including budgeting, onboarding, post-production workflows, and distribution strategies.
• Partner with commercial/revenue teams to align formats with monetization while protecting editorial integrity.
• Mentor internal video producers and freelancers; participate in filming/editing when needed.
