About The Role
Neo4j is seeking a world-class leader to serve as our Global Vice President of Field Engineering. This role will report directly into the Chief Revenue Officer (Chief Product Officer - Interim) and have a global remit. It is a strategic and operational leadership position, responsible for delivering exceptional technical success for our customers, accelerating revenue growth, and advancing Neo4j's position as the graph foundation for the GenAI era.

This executive will lead a 150+ person global team spanning solution engineering, solutions architects, and professional services. They will own all technical aspects of the customer lifecycle, from early engagement and proof of concept to deployment, adoption, and ongoing success. They will drive technical success of our customers, grow our gross revenue retention (GRR), reduce the cost of sale, and build a highly efficient and scalable team, supporting the company’s transformation to a Cloud First, GenAI-ready platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Customer Success & GRR: Own the technical customer journey, partner with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Support, lead initiatives to drive successful productionization, data quality, and long-term usage of Neo4j in customer environments, own the consumption metrics especially for Aura, and define/report on technical success KPIs including GRR, deployment velocity, and solution health (DQA).
  • Top-Line Growth & Sales Engineering: Partner with Sales to drive revenue, own pre-sales architecture and qualification, carry a direct quota, and influence technical pipeline and deal acceleration.
  • Global Team Leadership & Efficiency: Lead, scale, and optimize a 150+ person global team, increase field effectiveness, reduce cost of sale, and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.
  • Standardization & Field Excellence: Implement best practices, create repeatable assets, tools, methodologies, and enablement programs to scale success.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Success, and Cloud Ops; influence roadmap and GTM strategies; champion Neo4j’s Cloud First and GraphRAG for GenAI vision.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
  • 15+ years in technical customer-facing leadership, preferably in data infrastructure, cloud, or platforms.
  • Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Background with companies like MongoDB, Confluent, Elastic, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, or similar.
  • Proven track record in owning and driving consumption, revenue, and retention metrics.
Skills & Attributes
  • Deep technical knowledge in data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems.
  • Operationally rigorous, data-driven, with strong reporting skills.
  • Inspirational leader capable of scaling teams and driving accountability.
  • Collaborative across functions, experienced in customer success from pre-sales to adoption.
