Job summary

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory seeks an experienced User Program Manager to oversee all administrative operations for the LCLS user community. You will coordinate with facility leadership, international researchers, and national bodies to enable access, planning, and execution of experiments.

Responsibilities include directing program operations, maintaining systems, and representing LCLS in cross-institution collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading programs at federally funded research facilities or user facilities.
• Ability to coordinate across scientific, engineering, operations and administrative directorates.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale programs and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative operations supporting the user community and scheduling for 1,000+ researchers annually.
• Represent SLAC and LCLS in national coordination bodies and cross-facility groups.
• Drive development of user-facing systems, databases, and workflows with software and staff.
• Ensure compliance with SLAC, Stanford University and DOE policies across user program operations.
