Job summary

Duke University is seeking a strategic Director of Global Travel Health and Safety to lead enterprise-wide travel risk management, traveler readiness, and incident response. Qualifications

• Master’s degree and at least six years in global travel health and safety or related fields.
• Experience leading crisis preparedness and response in a large, decentralized organization.
• Proven ability to develop and implement cross-functional policies and programs.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with risk governance, travel risk programs, and vendor partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise leadership for Duke’s global travel health and safety program.
• Oversee incident response, risk assessment, and traveler safety for domestic and international programs.
• Lead policy development, governance, and compliance across university stakeholders.
• Manage budget, resources, and vendor relationships supporting travel health services.
